Water Treatment

Understand your water.
Then decide what to do about it.

Every home is different. Every water source is different. We start with a free in-home test, walk you through exactly what we find, and give you the knowledge to make your own call. Sometimes that means a system. Sometimes it means you’re fine. Either way, you’ll know.

Your water is more complicated than “city” or “well.”

Two houses on the same street can have noticeably different water. Your home’s water is shaped by your local utility (or your well), the age and material of the pipes between the source and your faucet, the contaminants picked up along the way, and the minerals naturally present in the geology underneath you.

That’s why off-the-shelf filters from a hardware store rarely solve the problem. They’re designed for an average home that doesn’t exist. Your water needs a solution built around what’s in it, not a guess.

Test first. Recommend second.
Never the other way around.

Every recommendation starts with a free in-home water test. We measure hardness, chlorine, pH, iron, TDS, and many other indicators specific to your area. Then we walk you through the results in plain language: what’s in your water, what it means for your family and your home, and what (if anything) is worth addressing.

If you need a whole home system, we’ll explain why and what it would cost. And if your water is fine the way it is, we’ll tell you that too.

The visit takes about an hour, and most of that time is education. We’re not running a quick dip strip and flipping open a sales binder. We sit at your kitchen table, test your water in front of you, and explain what every number means so you actually understand what you’re looking at. By the end, you’ll know more about your water than most homeowners ever learn about theirs.

Some people hear what we find and decide to move forward the same day. Some take the results home and sit with it for a while. Some decide they don’t need anything from us. All three of those are fine. The information is yours either way.

For several years we had water quality issues. We had to replace pipes and get appliances fixed due to hardness and high chlorine content. We love our water system and I am confident that my children are drinking the best water possible.

Whole Home Filtration

Removes chlorine, sediment, and other common contaminants from every faucet in your house. Gives you noticeably better showers, reduces soap and detergent use, and extends appliance life.

Water Softening

Tackles hard water at the source. Protects your skin, your appliances, and your plumbing.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

Point-of-use system for the kitchen sink. Removes 96–99% of contaminants for clean, great-tasting drinking and cooking water.

Well Water Solutions

If you’re on a well, we test for the contaminants that matter most in this region: iron, hardness, bacteria, sulfur, and pH. Then we build a treatment system around your specific results.

UV Sterilization

Kills bacteria and viruses without chemicals. Recommended for any water that has questionable properties.

We love the pure taste of our reverse osmosis water. The water softener is saving money in less detergent use. My hair is softer and shinier, and my tub and sinks are easier to clean.

When you buy a system from Mountain View, you get the team that installs it, services it, and stands behind it. For as long as you own the system.

We install Hague Quality Water systems, backed by 25-year warranties and serviced by our local team for the life of the system.

Questions we hear most

It depends entirely on your water and your home. We don’t quote prices until we’ve tested your water and seen your setup, because anything else would be a guess. Our systems can be purchased or financed for a low monthly payment. Often the cost is less than what families are already spending on the problems untreated water causes. The free water test gives you real numbers for your situation.

The difference between the Hague WaterMax and other softener and conditioning systems is substantial, but not well understood. Most water treatment systems use what we call a conventional filter tank. That works well with one filtration media inside. But as soon as you add more than one media, they can mix over time and become less effective, or even stop working altogether. What makes the WaterMax different is that it has three separate compartments within the same system. The media stays completely divided. No mixing, no reduction in performance over the life of the system. That’s why we can offer a 25-year warranty on our water treatment systems. We wouldn’t put our name behind that warranty if the equipment couldn’t back it up.

Depends on what you’re trying to solve. If your only concern is drinking water taste, a point-of-use filter or reverse osmosis system might be enough. If you have hard water damaging your appliances, dry skin from showering, or contaminants you want to remove from every faucet, you need whole home treatment. The water test tells us which.

Our Hague 25-year warranty is an express warranty from the manufacturer. It goes beyond what most states require for warranty coverage. A “lifetime warranty” sounds better, but it differs from state to state and usually covers somewhere between seven and eleven years, which is the average time someone lives in a home. So when you hear “lifetime warranty,” it’s worth asking: whose lifetime are they talking about?

Most installations are completed in a single day. We coordinate the schedule around you, and our team handles everything: removal of old equipment, installation of the new system, and walking you through how it works.

Start with the test.
Decide from there.

The free water test is the starting point. No cost. Just real data about your water and an honest conversation about what (if anything) you should do about it.
